Maggie Teliska
Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Teliska brings more than 15 years of leadership experience in the design, development, and commercialization of power sources. Her experience spans academia, federal government, and private industry.  Early in her career she developed novel electrode materials and fundamental reactions in fuel cells and batteries at the university level and for the US Navy.  She also held several leadership positions in engineering, sales, and operations with the Johnson Controls Power Solutions Business.
Most recently she has formed RyanTel LLC, a consulting firm specializing in providing technical expertise in the areas of
  • Product and new technology assessment
  • Quality
  • Product development and management
  • Process improvement
  • Product safety
  • Technical training
She is also a founder of Veteran Wire and Cable Inc., a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business that provides products and services to the telecommunications industry.
Dr. Teliska earned her BS in Chemistry from Boston College and an MS and PhD in Physical Chemistry from The George Washington University. Funded by the DOE, US Navy and Brookhaven National Laboratory her work developed new techniques to assess fundamental reactions and efficiencies of the novel catalysts used for fuel cells and batteries.  Upon graduation she was awarded an American Society of Engineering Education Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the Surface Chemistry Division of the Naval Research Laboratories in Washington DC, where she developed and implemented alternative energy sources for military and commercial applications.
Dr. Teliska has authored several peer-reviewed articles in publications in the power sources field.  She is an active member of the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE), Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and the Battery Council International (BCI).  At BCI she currently sits on the Technology, Deep Cycle, and Product Marketing Committees and was a contributing editor to the most recently published 2010 Battery Council International Technical Manual.
